This residence is an exploration of materiality, movement, and light, where textures and forms seamlessly interact to create a space that is both monumental and fluid. The architecture unfolds in a rhythmic progression, with gently curved walls breaking the monotony of rigid structures, offering a continuous sense of motion. A tempered palette of charcoal, graphite, , and deep maroon forms the foundation, with the warmth of teak wood and the depth of oxblood accents lending a rich contrast.

Every surface tells a story. Polished plaster walls, concrete panels, and rock-faced marble create a raw yet refined dialogue, enhanced by the interplay of rough-cut stone and smooth finishes. The flooring extends seamlessly, reinforcing the continuity of space, guiding movement effortlessly. Above, a soaring wooden ceiling introduces warmth and scale, adding a sense of grounding to the verticality of the space. The natural grain of the wood catches the shifting light, accentuating the volume and creating a dynamic interplay of textures.

At the heart of this architectural composition, a monolithic oxblood dining table becomes the anchor, sculpted as an extension of the space itself. Architecturally superimposed beneath sweeping arches, it forms a strong visual as you enter the home, breaking its linearity and adding depth. In the private quarters, design takes on a more layered and intimate approach. The master suite is wrapped in heavy layering, where the clay textures and black woods unfold in measured precision. A custom-designed ‘Abacus’ four post bed, is our playful take on the traditional calculator for a very adult piece of furniture . The daughter’s room introduces an element of whimsy with a revolving circular bed, a centerpiece that swivels to embrace the view or TV, blurring the boundaries between function and experience.

Lighting plays a silent yet powerful role in shaping the mood. By day, natural shadows dance across the surfaces, highlighting the interplay of textures. As dusk settles, teak wood fixtures, lamp chandeliers, and concealed lighting shift the ambiance, wrapping the space in a carefully controlled glow. Hidden cove lights embedded at foot level enhance the curves, allowing forms to emerge subtly, while at night, the architecture takes on a new personality, with controlled mood lighting transforming the experience into one of quiet intensity.

There is no excess, no ornamentation for the sake of it—only a meticulously curated language of stone and wood, of light and shadow, of fluidity and structure. This home is not just a space to inhabit; it is an immersive journey, where design and function converge in a bold, tactile, and deeply considered narrative.
