Perhaps the most popular and mind bending dissection puzzle consisting of 7 flat pieces to form a specific shape.

The tangram ‘cat’ silhouette laid the ground to create a study actually constructed for a private residence in Mumbai. The base of the table allows for cabling and flip top switch boards at convenient locations. A circular perforation works as a built-in pen holder.

The process of converting it into a useable functional 3D form with simple replicable finishes like teak veneer led us to further develop a recliner from the silhouette of a “man in a yogic pose”. The recliner is only in a prototype phase and we look forward to translating it into a comfortable piece of furniture.
